American History

Do you want to study American History together as a family!
We have always studied American History together as a family, even if that meant a high schooler, a middler schooler, two students in elementary school, and a preschooler. We have had a blast reading aloud, listening to audios, watching movies and documentaries, playing games, making radio shows, appreciating art works, singing old Americana songs, dressing up, acting out historical events, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
So how did we do it?
This series is simply the way we learned American History TOGETHER, all ages! We did lots of reading aloud and hands-on projects. We also talked about things together, letting everyone share their thoughts and feelings. Finally, the older children did independent work while the little ones listened to picture books, cut, glued, and colored.
