Ladies Heart to Heart: Blue Skies

The skies in my home state are gorgeous. Bright blue with cotton puffs leisurely moving across the sky. Sometimes, the sky even stays blue when it rains. If the sky does get dark to storm, it clears up when the rain ends and returns to brilliant blue.

I've always loved sunny skies, but when I gave my life to Jesus, I became fascinated with them. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't stop gazing upward, almost seeking a message of some sort. 

One day I came across this verse while reading my Bible outside in the back yard: "Your loving kindness extends to the Heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies" (Psalm 36:5). 

There was a message in the beautiful blue skies.

I looked upward. Where was the end of the sky? I couldn't see it? It stretched on and on and on. 

I thought about the verse. His love extends to the heavens; His faithfulness to the skies. Where is the end of His love and faithfulness? Answer: There is NO END! His love and faithfulness pour out on me over and over and over again. I am lavished by His Love!

When the day is cloudy, the blue skies are still there, extending without limit. It's just that the clouds cover it, keeping us from seeing the beauty. 

When trials, pain, and suffering cover the view of God's love and faithfulness, He is still there. His love is poured out on you. His faithfulness will never end. 

Stand on His Promise. His love is there. He will be faithful. 

And next time you see a blue sky, look upward. Experience the message: You are loved!
