Review of CursiveLogic, a Handwriting Program

All my children already know cursive and my grandchildren are too little, so I recruited my friend Mercy. She has not learned cursive yet, so we took the plunge together with CursiveLogic Quick-Start Pack from CursiveLogic. As a bonus, we got a beautiful coloring book, The Art of Cursive.

CursiveLogic breaks learning to write in cursive down to easy-to-understand and apply steps. The Quick-Start Pack comes with the workbook and full access to the webinar for a year. 

First you learn the Orange Oval shape and the letters that use that shape.

We worked on the orange oval shape, 

This is followed by other shapes and letters that use that shape. Children go step-by-step in a sequence that makes sense to both teacher and student.  

Wow! I love it! It''s a logical and easy way to learn the letters step-by-step, taking children from success to success to success.

The online video helped me so much to understand the program and teach it confidently. That was awesome! The webinar explained everything. I felt like someone was holding my hand and helping me to teach my child. Handwriting is one of those things for me where I'm not quite sure the best way to go. The webinar made me feel confident. I love that I can go back to it as often as I need to. 

Mercy caught on right away and was able to complete the first lesson quickly so we moved right on. I think what made it so easy for her was that she was learning one thing (the oval shape) and doing lots of letters. It made her feel good that she could write so many different letters and she felt successful. 

In addition to the CursiveLogic workbook and access to the video, I received a beautiful coloring book, The Art of Cursive. With beautiful pictures and interesting quotes, it truly is a valuable teaching tool to reinforce cursive writing once your child learns finishes the workbook. The workbook had pages and pages of quotes. There was one Bible verse and three quotes that were somewhat Christian in nature. That's the only thing I would change about the program. I love using handwriting to copy Scriptures so that it is profitable to the soul as well as educational. I would add more Scripture to the coloring book. Or maybe offer a Scripture coloring book.

What I love about the CursiveLogic Quick-Start Pack is that it is innovative and it works! I have never taught handwriting like that before and it just makes so much sense!
